This was way way over the top for a G rating. How in the world did it get it?!!?! A car torture scene, cars dying, cars having gun fights in bathrooms, cars putting other cars in imminent death scenarios? WTF! What happened to the fun lovable attitude of the first movie? If it was a PG rated movie I wouldn’t have taken my daughter to see it. I like the safety G movies has giving me, but that is all shattered now with Cars 2. The story line was WAY too complicated for kids to understand. Very disappointed.

Sorry, Safari Dad, but a human can not change their gender – it just ain’t possible. You are either born with XX chromosomes, or XY chromosomes. That & that alone is what determines if you are male or female, not surgery or hormone therapy. And ain’t nothing gonna change that.

Mary, you’re right… that could certainly have used a tad more editing. What I meant to say was that the geckos have same-sex relationships and the clownfish change gender and people do the same. It’s all natural.

I’d also like to point out that the assumption underlying this assumption is rooted in another flaw. Being around gay people makes children gay – now,regardless of whether this is true, the unspoken assumption is that this BAD. Why? Because being gay is BAD, so clearly ‘turning’ a child gay is bad.

Which means we also have to work at chipping away at the core of this erroneous logic.

And when your son is the next Fred Astaire he will surely be thankful that you ‘turned’ him into a dancer!
