Today is National Tap Dance Day.  Bet you didn’t know that.  Every May 25th — Bill “Bojangles” Robinson’s birthday — is set aside to honor the art form that gets everyone’s toes tapping.  And so, here’s an amazing video of a young tap dancer strutting his stuff.  Sit back and prepare to be amazed.

If you you’ve got kids, do them a favor and sign them up for tap dance lessons.  The International Tap Association has links to major companies and dancers and United Taps offers free lessons online.  Kids’ tap shoes can often be had for next to nothing at thrift stores.  So you’ve no excuse not to get your kids moving and making music with their feet.

Plus, you could find yourself standing backstage at the Ellen Show.
